Title of the Article

Optimization of N Doping in TiO2 Nanotubes for the Enhanced SolarLight Mediated Photocatalytic H2Production and Dye Degradation

Highlights

N-doped TiO2 nanotubes (NTNTs) were prepared using hydrothermal method followed by simple solid-state dispersionprocess. The characterizationstudies of the optimized NTNTs (NTNT-2 (TiO2 nanotubes vs urea @ 1:1 ratio)) revealed that the improved crystal structureand visible light absorption properties. The NTNT-2showed thehighest degradation efficiency over methyl orange dye (~91% in 90 min) and showed the highest rate ofH2 evolution (19,848 µmol h-1.g-1.cat,) under solar light irradiation.Further, NTNT-2 showed aconsistent efficiency during the recycle studies in both degradationand H2 production process.
