Title of the Article

SiO2 – supported HClO4 catalyzed synthesis of(Z)-thiazolylhydrazonoindolin-2-onesand their electrochemical properties

Highlights

A practical, straightforward and green FCDR strategy has been demonstrated for the synthesis of (Z)-THIs (6) via an IHB directed approach. The reaction proceeds through the formation of C-Br, C–S, C–N & C=N bonds in one-pot. The role of IHB on (Z)-configuration of (Z)-THIs was confirmed by single crystal XRD and 1H NMR studies. The HOMO and LUMO energy level of (Z)-THIs are comparable with the most commonly used ambipolar and hole transporting materials.
